Declaration Project

I believe that the school district of Philadelphia has not provided the substantial assistance needed to run a proper district. The result for this lack of assistance is that a large amount of money is unequally distributed to other districts in the state. Due to this financial setback a number of teacher positions have been cut, and this has become a deterrent for having extracurricular activities. As high school students, we have paid our dues by protesting and showing our concern by speaking our opinions at school district meetings; but there has been little to no change. The school has the responsibility to make sure every child gets a fair chance and opportunity; but they have failed to do so. We deserve to have a structured district to support us and provide the necessities to allow us to have the best education.
